Integral Sound Healing Meet the Student Tuning Forks

Meet the student – Zoe Pearson

The second in our regular series of articles about Sound Healing Academy students. This week meet Zoe Pearson. Zoe has completed Level 2 Diploma courses in both Groups and Tuning Forks. I loved working with Zoe over the course of her studies. I have seen her start to really flourish and grow into a confident and natural sound bath facilitator and tuning fork practitioner. Over to Zoe:

“I feel I have found the missing piece to my jigsaw of life with sound healing. My previous healing therapies (massage and reiki combined) have now fallen into place. I had what I call a ‘lightbulb moment’ whilst studying sound healing and felt this was the next chapter in my life and my soul journey, to help others and myself. It is now an important part of my life and I have only just touched the surface. I’m so excited to learn more with SHA and continue my journey with them. I wonder why I haven’t studied this before, but I realise that I wasn’t ready for this chapter until recently.

Do you use your instruments for self-care?
Yes, I always carry my OM tuning fork around with me in my bag, as it has healed my thumbs, after 24 years of massage. I also give myself a weekly treatment with my harmonising tuning fork set, to clear my aura and chakras. I find with hands-on healing, I sometimes pick up other peoples problems and negative energy, and the Tibetan bowls and tuning forks help me clear what doesn’t serve me. My stress and anxiety levels have dropped to almost zero since studying sound healing.

The level 2 groups course allows you to work professionally with groups. Have you been doing this and what sort of groups have you worked with?
I have been offering group sound meditations /gong baths since I finished the Level 2 Groups course and offer two sessions a week. I have had an amazing response and had people from all walks of life come to my sessions. The feedback has been so positive and it has been great to hear how the sessions have helped release blocked emotions, given people time to relax and to go on journeys to other dimensions. It has been a joy to use my new skills and knowledge and offer a healing service to others. I have mainly taught people with hectic lifestyles and very little personal time: people who feel guilty for having time-out and putting themselves first. The emotional release has been remarkable and life changing for some.

How has this helped you professionally?
The Level 2 Groups course has enabled me to be able to offer sound meditation classes and I now run them weekly. It has given me a taste for other sound healing techniques and I’m currently studying the Level 2 Healing with Tuning Forks. [Zoe has since graduated with a Diploma in Tuning Forks]. I plan to be able to offer group and one-to-one sessions and if I can help just one person along my journey, it has been worthwhile. My own journey has been transformed by sound healing and changed my life for the better. Thank you, Morag, for being so inspirational and thank you SHA.”

Thank you so much, Zoe, for taking the time to tell us about your journey with sound.

Zoe is based in the Leicester/Market Harborough area. You can find out more about her on her website and on Facebook.
